Remodeling Progress

The exterior upgrades for ADA compliance were completed at the end of September. Closing the front parking areas was a challenge but the tenants were very understanding and cooperative. All parking is now accessible and even more appreciated by everyone after getting through this stage of the project.

We are also starting to see the light at the end of the corridor! The second floor carpet and paint finishes are substantially completed. The new handrails for the main stairs have also been installed and the main stairways are once again open. The fire life safety work is nearly finished. Final tasks include installation of new strobes and pull stations.

The second floor restrooms are completed and were reopened near the end of September. The finishes turned out nicely and feedback is positive about the “new look”. New features include energy efficient sensor lighting and automatic sink faucets. The second floor tenants are especially grateful that they no longer have to travel to the first floor for service. The first floor restroom remodels are currently underway and now the first floor tenants get their turn for exercise as they journey upstairs to use the restroom facilities.

The work is progressing nicely with the overall remodel anticipated to finish mid November.

The Landlord has been working on plans for several months with the cooperation of Williams + Paddon Architects, HMH and the City of Sacramento to implement certain improvements at the 1755 Creekside Oaks building.
